Dilip Joshi is a famous television actor who plays role of Jethalal Gada in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Besides this popular TV soap, he has been appeared in number of serials and movies. He was born on 26th May, 1968 in Porbandar, Gujarat.
Early Days
Dilip Joshi is active in entertainment industry since 1989. Before appearing in TV serials and films, he has worked in Gujarati dramas (Gujarati natak). In the early career days, he has been appeared in Shubh Mangal Savadhan. Dilip Joshi appeared as South Indian accountant in TV shows “Kya Baat Hai” and starred in “Yeh Duniya Hai Rangeen”. After successful acting in these TV serials, he has been appeared in Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Maine Pyaar Kiya.
Personal Life
Dilip Joshi married with Jayamala Joshi. The happy couple have two children i.e. one daughter and one son. Both are studying in Mumbai and lives with the family. He is strong believer in Swaminarayan BAPS. He is Brahmin by cast. He is strict vegetarian and never tested non-veg food in his life, told by him in one of interview. His height is 5′.5″ (approx.).
Most of fans don’t know about Dilip Joshi’s real wife, son and daughter. Some fans considered Daya (real name Disha Vakani) as his real wife. It is not true, his real life wife name is Jayamala Joshi.

Dilip Joshi campaigned for Bharatiya Janata Party in Gujarat Assembly Elections 2012 with other co-stars. They have also campaigned for Narendra Modi in the state during that election.
